Why do we eat snacks during workouts

Ever notice how we justify munching on energy bars or protein snacks while we’re exercising? I mean, I can barely lift my weights but suddenly it’s lunchtime in my head. It’s like my brain thinks it’s a buffet! What’s the wildest snack you’ve ever snuck in at the gym? I once saw someone with a full sandwich — are we really that desperate for carbs during squats?

Seriously, why is the gym a snack zone? I once saw someone sipping on a smoothie while doing deadlifts — like, how do you not choke? But hey, if it gets you through the set, I guess anything goes.

It’s wild how we think snacks are a necessity when we’re lifting… I once saw someone take a break to munch on a protein bar mid-set; it’s like our minds are saying, ‘Fuel me!’ But if you’re not burning it off, what’s the point? @katie_mill32, ever think about making those snacks healthier or smaller to avoid the buffet brain?
