Fueling for Endurance: What Works

I’ve been experimenting with different nutrition strategies for long-distance running, and it feels like there’s a ton of conflicting advice out there. Recently, I read about how the timing of carb intake can really affect performance. Has anyone here found a specific approach that boosts their endurance during those long runs? I’m curious to hear what tools or tactics have worked best for you.

I’ve found that having a solid mix of carbs and protein about 30 minutes before my runs really helps maintain my energy levels. Lately, I’ve been using a peanut butter and banana sandwich, and it works wonders for my endurance. Have you tried different snacks before your runs yet?
