Do short workouts actually add up

I keep seeing research showing that 3–4 ten-minute bouts of moderate effort can deliver cardio gains comparable to a single longer session, provided intensity is there. I’ve been testing two 10-minute jump-rope blocks and a brisk 12-minute walk around 5 p.m. on workdays — anyone else stacking short sessions notice better consistency or fitness?
