Balancing Macronutrients for Endurance Athletes

I’ve been working on optimizing meal plans for some of my endurance athletes, and I noticed how crucial the balance of carbs, fats, and proteins is for performance. Recently, I read that targeting a 70% carb intake for long-distance runners can significantly enhance their energy levels. Has anyone else experimented with specific macronutrient ratios for different sports? It would be great to share insights?

Absolutely, carb intake is key for endurance. I’ve found that adjusting the ratio based on training periods helps too — like increasing carbs right before big races. Have you tried incorporating more fats during off-season to support recovery?
